Bangladesh Railway has announced the operation of two new intercity trains on the Khulna-Dhaka-Khulna and Benapole-Dhaka-Benapole routes from 24 December.
Railway authorities shared the information in a press release today (18 December), detailing the schedules of the new train services.
The two new trains — Jahanabad Express and Rupasi Bangla Express — will operate between Khulna-Dhaka and Benapole-Dhaka respectively.
According to the schedule, Jahanabad Express will depart from Khulna at 6am and from Dhaka at 8pm. The train will stop at Noapara, Singia Junction, Narail, Lohagara, Kashiani Junction, and Bhanga Junction.
Rupasi Bangla Express will depart from Benapole at 3:30pm and from Dhaka at 10:45am. The train will stop at Jashore Junction, Narail, Kashiani Junction, and Bhanga Junction.
Tickets will be issued from 8pm on 21 December through counters of the respective stations and online.
The trains will not operate on Mondays, the release added.
