154 Bangladeshi migrants return from Libya

A total of 154 Bangladeshi nationals who were living in Libya returned to the country these days (20 September).

A chartered flight of Buraq Air (UZ) carrying them landed at Hazrat Shahjalal Global Airport at 7am this morning.

They were welcomed by officials of the Ministry of International Affairs and the Global Organization for Migration (IOM).

The Ministry of International Affairs, Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli, Libya, and IOM ensured the safe return of the expatriates who possess been residing in Libya as irregular electorate.

IOM provided Tk6000 to each of the returnees in conjunction with some food items, medical remedy and transient lodging the save vital.

The foreign ministry, Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli and IOM are working tirelessly to position up the safe repatriation of Bangladeshi nationals detained in replace detention centers in Libya.
