Councillors of 12 metropolis companies and 323 municipalities of the country were removed.
The resolution was announced in a notification by the Native Authorities Division, under the Ministry of Native Authorities, Rural Construction and Co-operatives, issued the day old to this (26 September).
The 12 metropolis companies are Dhaka South, Dhaka North, Chattogram, Khulna, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Barishal, Narayanganj, Cumilla, Rangpur, Gazipur and Mymensingh.
At the same time, the councillors of 323 municipalities were furthermore removed through a separate notification.
Earlier on 19 August, the mayors of these metropolis companies were removed. The authorities then appointed administrators within the 12 metropolis companies.
Meanwhile, the final 61 Zilla Parishad members have furthermore been removed as adversarial to from the three hill districts.
The chairmen of these Zilla Parishads were furthermore removed and administrators appointed.
Earlier, the chairmen of 493 upazila parishads of the country were removed by a separate state of the same division. In their space, upazila nirbahi officers were given the responsibility of administrators.
